Pokémon fans have something exciting to celebrate—Pokémon Club is back at the Carson City Library! In honor of Pokémon Day, patrons recently gathered at the library to celebrate their love of Pokémon and kick off the return of this popular program.
Pokémon Day, celebrated each year on February 27, commemorates the original release of the first Pokémon games in 1996. Fans around the world celebrate by playing games, trading cards, watching Pokémon shows, and connecting with fellow trainers. At the Carson City Library, that spirit of fun and community was on full display as participants enjoyed Pokémon-themed activities together.
Due to its popularity, Pokémon Club will now meet regularly on the last Friday of every month from 4:00–5:00 PM at the library. The club offers a welcoming space for kids and families to explore the Pokémon universe in a variety of ways.
During Pokémon Club, participants can:
Play Pokémon GO with other trainers
Learn the basics of the Pokémon Trading Card Game
Create Pokémon-themed crafts
Play Pokémon video games on the library’s Nintendo Switch
Whether you are a seasoned trainer or just beginning your Pokémon journey, Pokémon Club is a great way to connect with other fans, learn new skills, and have fun at the library.
Families are encouraged to bring their curiosity, creativity, and love of Pokémon. No registration is required—just stop by and join the adventure.
