June 25, 2019 — The Carson City Library is hiring to fill an open Digitorium Internship. Digitorium interns help manage the library’s teen space and assist with program planning and implementation. The Digitorium Internship starts in August and runs through the 2019/2020 school year.

Students in this paid internship work up to 10 hours per week after school. Candidates must be Carson City School District students and be 16 years old by Aug. 1, 2019. Interns help other teens use Digitorium computers, audio/visual equipment and library databases, so familiarity with technology and the ability to learn new programs and systems are important skills. Library staff will also be looking for someone who likes to help peers learn and is interested in a STEM/STEAM career path.

To apply for the Digitorium Internship, students are asked to submit a resume, two letters of recommendation and work samples (PSA project or other work that shows use of technology) to jhodnett@www.carsoncitylibrary.org. Applications will be accepted through Aug. 30, 2019.

The Carson City Library’s Digitorium is a space designated to help improve the digital media production and online literacy skills of teens 14-17 years of age.
